The Church Houses 10 Families
Last Friday the rain began to pour in Guatemala city and on the entire central american region dropping 24 inches of rain within a 24 hr. period of time by the first tropical depression of the season named AGATHA.
In Guatemala city at the Santa Rita Bridge where Charlie's Lunch is located there are at least 500 tin roof shacks located on the down side of the ravine where C.L. is feeding 60 children. With the heavy downpours this past weekend 10 families lost their dwellings with the torrential rains from TROPICAL STORM AGATHA. As a result the Santa Rita Feeding Center and Church became a week long shelter for the families and food was made round the clock and brought in by donors to the Charlie's Lunch Room to feed and shelter these displaced people. The compassion currently being shown by our workers and laborers in the ministry of Charlie's Lunch is having an impacting effect on the community at large as a provision of shelter and food and safety as well as the help and commitment to assist in rebuilding for those displaced is in effect by our leaders and volunteers. Praise God for His caring people in the midst of the storms in peoples lives.
