VIJAYAWADA - Charlie's Lunch for Runaway Kids
Charlie's Lunch has begun working with pastor Sharath Bushan to establish a feeding center in a house church located next to the rail road tracks not far from the Vijayawada train station. The train station area hosts a 'slum among slums' for runaway and unwanted children. Charlie's Lunch is reaching out to them offering a house church, the gospel, a hot nutritious meal and a chance for the course of their present and hopeless destiny to change into a destiny of eternal life through Christ's saving grace. Please pray for Sharath, the local pastor and leaders in the church who are overseeing this project of Charlie's Lunch. Sharath also has a Bible School which he directs in the confines of his church called Peniel. Pray that many of these children, 10 to 15 yrs. down the road would be graduates from this Bible School.

"In this feeding center we are providing lunch three times a week to the children who ran away from their homes, because of continous duel between their parents. Since these children do not know the love of their parents, taking refuge in railway stations, they grow up in rough and robust enviornment. Through the feeding center, that the love of Jesus we are showing to these unwanted Kids (Unwanted I can say because nobody pays attention to them) is making an impact on the children. One such kid who commited his life to Jesus is named 'Raju'... please continue to pray for Raju and this ministry. "
