FIRST TEAM TO JUAREZ, MEXICO!
On June 27th through July 3rd, a team from Colfax, California arrived to work in Juarez, Mexico at our 2 feeding centers. They painted the feeding centers and painted children’s faces in 110+ degree heat. Our newest feeding center had over 300 people show up for the special gatherings including over 200 children! Everyone received a special meal along with treats from a 5 ft. piñata! The children were “Bused” in from a very poor area nearby and the majority had never been to church. Almost all of the children responded to the message of “hope and a future” presented by the team. 70 of the poorest kids have begun receiving Charlie’s Lunch 3 x per week. Yes! At the second Feeding Center site, 100 children showed up and were entertained by “Estrella” the clown. 30 kids raised their hands when asked if they wanted to receive Jesus as their personal Lord!
Please pray for our teams that are traveling to El Salvador and Guatemala over the next 4 weeks. There are still 85 individuals that are waiting to head to the mission field to help Charlie’s Lunch this summer. We are praying for a great harvest of souls! There will be evangelism, construction, medical care, children’s crusades and adult meetings where the love of God will be extended to those in need.
